I've been painting some of the most beautiful places in the UK for almost 20 years. Between 2002-2013, I was an Artist in Residence at Regent's Park in London. Before that I painted gardens of North Wales.

Since 2007, when I lived in Westerham Kent, I started visiting neighbouring properties owned by the National Trust. The splendour of these historic buildings and their gardens prompted me to paint these wonderful historical jewels. I have created hundreds of paintings collaborating with the National Trust, portraying over 10 properties in the South East of England with many of them presenting exhibitions of my paintings.
But there is one special garden for me. It's the Nymans Garden. This will be my third exhibition about it.  This garden and I are old friends. It has a collection of everything that I love in gardens and historical estates. It has what I like to paint, and everything there is in right proportions. It lacks nothing. I visited it at different times of day, at different times of year and it always surprised me. I've done hundreds of photos and sketches to remember every detail. But the most important thing is the atmosphere, the colour, the play of light and shadow, the surprising diversity and abundance of plants, their rhythm and density. The incredible individual balance of everything that surrounds me there, every time I seek to transfer onto canvas those feelings that awaken a new painting. I try to do this and regularly return to paitnt my Nymans Garden.

Many NT properties, and especially the Nymans Garden is a natural wonder combined with the past, tradition, passion and hard work of all people who care for every single and smallest piece. I am grateful to everyone who created and kept such amazing inspiring places. Because of this, I can interact with its beauty and try to save it on canvas.
